Scripture

I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools water and the parched ground into springs. I will put in the desert the ceder and the acacia, the myrthle and the olive. I will set pines in the wasteland, the fir and cypress together, so that people may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the Lord has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it.

Church Camp 2013

@ Pine Resorts, Fraser's Hill

With dad on the balcony

Drinking Chinese tea in the apartment.

We missed one church camp in 2010 due to John's accident in 2008. John still needs a lot of supervision so I was only able to attend the morning session theme talks. It's good to be reminded that the Joy of the Lord is not determine by our circumstances.
Since the Jesus himself walks with us, that's assurance that all will be well with our souls.(John 14:18 Jesus says, "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you")

By next week he should be finishing his 240th HBOT, which means the end of this round of HBOT. He seems to have better stamina with it. Now he's engaging me in conversations; mostly silly topics but fun and humorous for him. Do we really converse in intelligible language? of course not. He just hold my hand , look me in the eye and start babbling, at times pointing to the topic of conversation. To an outsider I would look ridiculous cause I talk for both of us, but he laughs at the silliness. At times he smiles to himself and I wonder if he recalls our silly conversation.

HBOT Again

John just finished his 205th HBOT (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) yesterday, 1st March 2013. He stays in the chamber for an hour. It's suppose to increase oxygen delivery to injured areas to help with healing. We've stopped acupuncture at the moment, returning to this, hoping to help him recover further.  We're training to let him go in on his own. At the moment I'm in there overseeing him manage his fruit snack and water. He snacks so that we can eliminate the pressure in his ears during the 1st 20mins in the chamber.

During John's quite time, we've been reading Jer.29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future". Often when I do quite time with him, I'm also challenge to trust God. I'll tell John I love him very much but God loves him even more and that I'm learning to trust God. Then I'll encourage him to trust God so that we can walk by faith together. It's beautiful to see him respond positively.
