Scripture

I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools water and the parched ground into springs. I will put in the desert the ceder and the acacia, the myrthle and the olive. I will set pines in the wasteland, the fir and cypress together, so that people may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the Lord has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it.

Reading


John surprised us when he seem to recognised words and able to pick the correct flash card. He started by picking out numbers 1 to 5, then 1 to 8, now 1 to 12. Then aunty Choon Heah said we should try words so here we are. 
Personally I know of people who word be more thrill that John speaks than read but they'll just have to wait. Whilst we want him to acquire more living skills and speech we also need to 'celebrate' the few words and numbers he can remember; we need to help him build some self-confidence. This is one of his good eyesight days. There are days when his vision/ concentration is not there, he feels sad (his eyes will get teary) when he can't do. What do I do? Do one last card and switch to blowing bubbles!!! I like to end sessions on positive note, not quit or give up scenario.
