Oh hello. Sign in Blogspot.com Scripture I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools water and the parched ground into springs. I will put in the desert the ceder and the acacia, the myrthle and the olive. I will set pines in the wasteland, the fir and cypress together, so that people may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the Lord has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it. Isaiah 41:18-20 Chatbox

Back Exercises
About 5 months ago, we went to Mahsa Physio clinic to see if they can help John with his scoliosis (curved back bone). We've been doing more back exercises and it's evident that it has help in his posture and walking. I thought that since John could walk, my focus should be on his hands, eyes and speech BUT it seems not. In doing rehab with John, moving forward has just made a new twist! (sigh!) Or should I? No, staying stagnant would be worse. Fine tuning his posture, balance and walking will definitely benefit him. What is pleasantly surprising is that John is able to alternate the leg he's exercising. That means he's also doing some brain exercise along the way. We're learning to be thankful for the little things too. Labels: Physiotherapy

Picking out Colours
There are many things we teach John both physical and cognitive but I also spend time reading devotional material and imparting biblical truths to him. To me it's important for him to know he has an Almighty God, who loves him and looks out for him. "See how much our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called His children" (1 John 3:1) Labels: Visual Discrimination |
