Oh hello. Sign in Blogspot.com Scripture I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools water and the parched ground into springs. I will put in the desert the ceder and the acacia, the myrthle and the olive. I will set pines in the wasteland, the fir and cypress together, so that people may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the Lord has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it. Artwork
John's doing art with creative teachers; he squeezes paint out of plastic soy sauce bottles. He has learnt how to squeeze a squeaky toy but to do this he needs to control his fingers and arm so that there's continues flow of paint. It's not just art, it's occupational therapy.
Yesterday I notice that when John's in the HBOT (oxygen therapy) chamber he was able to manoeuvre his whole body with ease. Since there's 2 of us in there it can be tight when we turn our bodies. Previous HBOT he even attempted to stand up which is just impossible. It would seem his proprioceptive ability has improved. One thing is for certain he's now able to open the door of his room to come out when he wakes up in the morning. Praise God! Labels: Occupational Therapy

Quack-quack. . .
We're at SPICES doing the duck walk. All of us are working very hard. Some may ask if duck walk is necessary; well we're co-ordinating him, making him move different muscle and joints which is necessary to for him to discover different parts of his muscle and limbs. We hope to teach his brain to recognise his body.
Today John started HBOT, his 122nd. He ate 2 slices of bread, I read 2 books and we watched some sing-a-long dvd. But towards the end he just got bored of the dvd and just lie down. I was surprised he was bored cos it used to entertain him previously and he's not seen it for 3 months. Well guess it time to move on to another dvd. Labels: Physiotherapy |
